Down in the dune, slowly it starts to sink in. Slowly downwards.
It washes over our legs. The clothes. The grip.
We’re stuck. The force. We try, bravely.
Everything is pointless, everything is in vain. Staring down into the dark ground.
Slowly it sinks in.
Slowly we sink into the dune.
This album breaks conventions with most post-metal. It at once can be played next to shoegaze then breaks out into a fury of aggression and still remain catchy. For my money Rosetta are at the top of the food chain. After all the amazing albums Rosetta has, it boggles the mind that they can still innovate and surprise me. I love that I can play this next to bands as diverse as Ride, Slowdive, Joy Division, The Cure, Godflesh, and Neurosis. It's a pure delight on the ears. Bryon Wilson
this records has so much emotional heaviness and depth to it. I heard it for the first time when this resonated with me very well and after more and more time has passed the appreciation for this record just grew immensely. still spinning this every now and then from time to time since it just moves me with its mix of black metal and ghostly and haunting but beautiful clean singing alex-dissonance
